New River Gorge July 4th weekend

I would like to share rides for the July 4th extended weekend at the New River Gorge. I would like to leave in the late afternoon on Thursday, July 3 and return Sunday, July 6.

I can either drive or ride.

Leaving after work works for me as well. Would you be willing to meet in the area of the AA Highway intersection with I 275 on the southeastside of Cincinnati?

I can meet you there. I'll try to leave work early - 4:30 and get there maybe around 5:30 if that's o.k. Is there a gas station there you want to meet at?

I think we may have a solution to meet on the way to the New River Gorge: meet at a Park-and-Ride location. From looking at the map, I am thinking we should meet at the Cold Spring Park-and-Ride at 4011 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY as shown on this map:

Here is a brochure on the Park and Ride locations. It may be prudent to call and confirm it is OK to leave the car there over the extended holiday weekend.

I will plan to meet you at 5:30 pm.

If there are others interested, I should be able to carry at least one other paddler and kayak, perhaps two more in a pinch.
