Hard to believe but Memorial Day is here! We will be descending upon the rivers and creeks of West Virginia for another epic weekend!

Things to know:

Saturday and Sunday mornings we will be organizing the day's trips at 9am in the large field across from the RV sites.

After paddling Saturday join us for Gwen's happy hour appetizerpalooza. She's bringing an awesome Tex-Mex dip, everyone else bring your fave snacks or just show up and eat! It's all good! This is a chance for everyone to regroup before dinner and swap stories about their day.

Saturday's main event will be the May/June membership meeting. The meeting will begin at 8pm sharp around the main campfire. The club president will not be in attendance so the VP (me) will be in charge. The only item currently on the agenda is officer nominations for 2009. There are openings for 2009 officers so please think about volunteering. The club is volunteer-driven and we are always looking for members to step into leadership positions. If you have any questions, or won't be able to make the meeting please contact myself, Gwen or Steve. If you aren't sure about being an officer there are other volunteer options available with the newsletter or website. Again you can contact any current officer with questions.

If you have any questions or concerns when you get into camp you can find me in my brother's pop-up. It's the one with a lot of dogs, not to be confused with the camper with the drooling dog/bear and hyper shepherd. If you're a new boater just ask someone and they'll point me out!

Hi!

I was wondering if you would not mind some Atlanta boaters joining in on the fun in WV.

I would like to get up there, but I really do not know the rivers.

Solid class III boater venturing on class IV. I have done the LG, and New Gorge at zero.

If I can make it up to WV, I would like to join you.

I also paddled with ya'll on one of your Pink Pig runs of the Rocky Fork and Paint Creek.

Please give me a call at (678)314-1514 or email me at grapeape30144@yahoo.com

Thanks.

Would you mind some Atlanta boaters joining you?

I am a solid class III boater from Atlanta. I have boated with ya'll on one of your pink pig runs of Rocky Fork and Paint Creek.

I am thinking about WV this weekend, but I do not know the rivers that well. I have boated the LG and New Gorge (at Zero).

Yeah , you've paddled with Joe too ,aye Gwen!
Is it looking favorable that the Cherry will be running this Memorial day weekend?
If so, I think it would be worth burning a tanker load of fuel to get out of the Great Black Swamp!!!!

My mind is burned and in need of recharging

If anyone has not yet joined for this year, I will be taking memberships this weekend. You may print off a form under "Downoads" and have it ready, or I will have a few with me. The fee is still $12 for a single, $17 for a family; check or exact change would be appreciated.
