From John Randolph, this year's Head Pig:

"There will be 6500 to 7000 CFS on Paint Creek and a very large release on Rocky Fork this weekend. These are near maximum levels.
As a result a tentative more reasonable amount is going to be released at the end of the month.
The Paddling Pig has been postponed to Saturday March 29th. 10 am route 50 take out.
Stay tuned for any possible changes."

I've been asked to remind John Randolph that the whole idea behind the Padde-N-Pig is to paddle when it's ridiculously cold, then pig out at a local eatery.

I'll name my source - James Nutter also suggests that John should receive the Paddle-N-Pig award again this year. What is John thinking? Postponing the Pig for high water and low temps?

James says that this kinder, gentler, wimpier Club needs to man up!

-:crazy::crazy:

Sooooo..... James and I will be boating this weekend on Saturday or Sunday. I'll post the definitive plans on Friday evening.

Please note that the water will be high and cold. :cold: This trip will not be for the weak of heart or the unprepared paddler. Rocky Fork should be at least somewhat manageable and folks can take out at the Rt 50 bridge before Paint Creek. We will scout the Chutes from the bridge before putting on Rocky Fork.

If you are feelin' froggy, plan on joining us.

Kathy,

I'll be there. I need to test drive my cold weather gear in my brand new lightly used playboat:)

I'll wait for your post this evening to see where and when you are putting in....but I'll BE THERE!

I was working Friday night :huh: At least I've still got a job or that's what I kept repeating :o

Still working today and probably all day Sunday too.

I'm thinking that boating is a no-go this weekend. Just talked to someone in Chillicothe and they've got 6-8 inches of snow there.
