I have a question about mixing a kayak paddle with a canoe.

My left hand has limited mobility. I can paddle and change grips, but it takes a toll. Could I use a Kayak paddle? I'm thinking I could avoid changing grips that way. Or this a ridicule-inviting choice of paddle?

I have paddled several "flat surface kayaks" using this kind of paddle.

I am likely always on calm water.

...and stop screwing around at work or I'm telling Baxter.

I have on occasion been known to use a double bladed paddle with a canoe.

Few things work as well across wide bodies of water with an unfavorable wind.

the trick is finding one long enough. You'd probably need a 240 cm paddle.

Here's an article by a respected expert that says "YES".

And don't worry - "ridicule-inviting" is part of the OAC experience!

Another option would be to paddle a tandem with a partner...
